With more peaks per square kilometre than any other country in Africa and spectacular cliff faces, ridges and chimneys, the Maluti and the Drakensberg mountains attract climbers from all over the world. Serious mountain climbing is not for the inexperienced, and should not be attempted without proper equipment and local advice.
