Transport options
Mafeteng is a convenient from which to get to Quthing. Many buses and taxis run to Mohales Hoek and hitching should prove easy.
A bus leaves from Malealea to Mafeteng daily at 6a.m. It returns mid morning from Mafeting, and it should be possible to get there from Quthing in time to connect. From there, It is possible to go on the Masemouse road, but with little traffic and few buses, be prepared to take a day getting to Quthing.
Connections to South Africa
It is possible to travel between East London and Quthing by taxi. From Quthing, take a taxi to the Tele Bridge border crossing, costing M4. Change here for a taxi to Sterkspruit, costing R5, and from Sterkspruit, taxis run to East London, either direct or via Queenstown. This trip can be done either way in one day.
