Catch one of the beautiful rainbow trout or catch a glimpse of the Bearded vulture or the Lammer Vanger. Why dont you try your hand at hiking, ice climbing, skiing or come to Oxbow with your motorbikes and a group of mates.
This lodge is gaining a reputation as the ideal place to leave the world and its stresses behind. The lodge runs on a generator, with fireplaces in the main building that provide lots of warmth in the winter.

Lesotho is one of a few places in Africa were snow skiing is possible. Snow is not just a “winter” time occurrence, as snow has fallen as early as the 1st of January, and has even fallen at Christmas time.
Log fires at the lodge run the whole year round.  The weather in the Lesotho Kingdom is very unpredictable, and a person should always be prepared for the unexpected.

All our 35 bedrooms are ensuite, accommodating 97 people, fully serviced and equiped with warm blankets and gas heaters to ensure your maximum warmth and comfortability. Rooms vary in sizes, accommodating single, to a family of six. There is courtyard parking infront of the rooms.

Location

In the tranquility of one of the most beautiful settings in Southern Africa, lies the Drakensburg Mountain Range. Located high in this magnificent range is the home of New Oxbow Lodge.
The lodge is reached via the glorious Moteng Pass which tops out at 2800 meters and then descends to the lodge in a valley 8km from the summit, on the banks of the Malibamatsoe river. The road is tarred all the way and accessible by car, and takes the traveller through some of the most breathtaking scenery in Southern Africa.

New Oxbow Lodge has been awarded the International Golden Award for tourist, Hotel and catering Industry for several years. Years awarded: Several awards between 1991 - 2007. Lunch is a la carte. Dinner and Breakfast are included in the overnight accommodation price.
